Country Gums

                                                       I have just made these watercolour cards
                                                                                      to send to a Uk friend of my sister.
                                                                                     I hope they add to her memories of her recent visit
                                                                                    Each card is painted on watercolour paper and comes
                                                                                    with note paper and envelope enclosed in cellophane bag.

"Domestic Problems- Outdoor"

                                                                        Three small  oil works entered in Contemporary Section

                                                                                which were awarded 2nd prize  with the judge commenting 

                                                                     " Good story-telling on a small scale work. Amusing and real!"

                                                                      The first depicts "Washing Day--birds on the line /-raining"

                                                                                     second  "Gardening -- no help from dog, chooks and rabbits"

                                                                                          third  " Feeding Chooks---being attacked  and pecked on bum"

                                         Entered in the Still Life category  I was awarded 1st place
                                                 with the judge commenting
                                                       "Tonally very accomplished. Excellent dimensionality
                                                                                    achieved through control of medium"

Yamba and Burliegh Beaches

"Red Rock Beach" Watercolour

 

                                                     A recent trip south and we called in to see Red Rock,
                                                     having driven past the sign so many times we just had to see for
                                                     ourselves. It was such a perfect day for all  the holiday makers
                                                     (who are just off to the left!)
